Every once in a while you will run into someone that does not want to get rid of the factory stereo that is in their car. This can be because factory stuff always costs more and has a higher value than custom stuff. The only problem with that is the fact that a lot of people do not have CD changers that will fit factory stereos. Usually you have to buy a car CD changer that will go with the brand of stereo that you have. Of course, you can find changers that are made by the factory to put in your car. You better hope you have a lot of money to get them with.

Honda CD Changer
Getting a CD changer for your car is a great idea. Not only does it save room, because you do not have to find a place to keep all your CDs, but the changer fits very nicely in the back of your trunk, out of the way so no one can see it. This is the best way to go about having a crap load of CDs ready to be played at the click of a button. You are able to surf through tons of music and get to listen to the Compact Disk that you want to listen to without having to go through and change CDs every time. Of course, what are you suppose to do if you have a factory stereo and you do not want to get rid of it. The problem here is that most CD changers have to be used with the same brand player. So lets say you have a Ford Thunderbird with a factory stereo. Well there is going to be no CD changer that will work with that unless it’s a factory CD changer made by Ford.

It can be easy to make your speakers sound the best if you know where to place them. Making sure you have the right speakers in the right spots is the key to having your car sound the best. You need to know where the bass speakers are, as well as the other speakers, to insure that you get them located in the perfect spot. By doing this you will insure that no matter what speakers you have, you will be able to have a good sound system. After all, it does not always matter the quality of the speakers; sometimes it matters where you have the speakers located.

Sony Xplod Speakers
There are guides on-line that can help you in placing your speakers. It can be very hard to understand where to place them. However, you are going to want your biggest speakers further away. Usually your car helps you with this. Most of the time the speakers in the front of the car by the driver and passenger seats are smaller than the speakers in the back. Most of the time you want to set up the speakers so that the bass, and sounds like that, are coming from the back of the car. If you can do this, then it’s going to sound better.

Pioneer Car Speakers
If you have too much bass coming in at the front of the car, then you are going to be able to understand what the people are saying, because the bass is going to be missing with the sound of their voice. This can be a problem when you are trying to make your car sound the best that it can. However, just placing your speakers in the right spot is not enough to make it sound good.

I remember a time when the only help you had on the road was your trusty map. Well the good news is that you no longer have to fight with the map every time you want to go somewhere new. Now you can just go out and buy a GPS system to help you find your way around town. There are lots of different GPS navigation systems out there so you have to be sure that you get the one that is right for you. Some can help you avoid traffic, and others can help you choose the shortest route to where you need to go. Either way you will love your new personal driving assistant.

Pioneer AVIC-F900BT GPS Navigation Receiver
I am not a big fan of using maps, and I guess that is because I am not good reading them. However, after I went out and got me a new GPS navigation system I never had to use another map again. These little wizards that sit in your car with you make sure you get to where you need to go without ever having to look at a map. You just put in the location of where you want to go, and it will take you there.

TomTom XL 330 Portable Navigator
There are many great uses for GPS systems, however, the best one is to get to point A to point B fast and without any other help. However, there are some GPS systems that have ways of allowing you to avoid traffic. These little guys scout ahead to see if a road is blocked, and then it picks the fastest way to go. Another great thing about some of them is that it can help you keep track of where your teen is. This way you always know where they are, no more guess work.

Satellite Radio is another way to stay connected to the world through news, entertainment, sports, weather, traffic and other channels. It is just like cable TV only you hear rather than seeing. You can get this service by paying a fixed amount of money each month with signals that are crystal clear and signals that are available in almost 48 States in America. Two services are available XM and SIRIUS, both of them providing with over 60 channels of non-stop music and 40 channels for entertainment, talk, news, sports weather and traffic updates. Getting this service you can forget your local AM/FM radio stations as this is the complete entertainment package one can get.

Setup A Satellite Radio
A satellite radio is an excellent substitute for an AM/FM radio if you have some car traveling to do in the future. It is just like cable TV with almost 100 channels for music, traffic guide, sports, entertainment, weather, news and many more. You can stay in touch with the whole world while being behind the wheel, enjoying the commentary of people on different topics. Just like cable TV a monthly fee has to be paid for the services of satellite radio. This service comes on your radio 24/7 and the entire week with crystal clear signals. You will not loose a signal no matter which part of the country you are as its intermission is transmitted through satellite solving the problem of signals like other local radio stations. Two service providers are available for satellite radio including XM and SIRIUS. They are both up to the mark with an awesome service but the best way to choose between both of them is to check out the channels they both provided and of course the more the better. Sadly this service is still not provided in Hawaii, Alaska and U.S. territories.
Now to get this service some of the basic and essential things needed are as follows:
- Satellite Radio Antenna: This antenna enables to catch the signals being given by the satellite. These antennas can pick satellite signals from over 48 states while can be installed with other three parts for getting satellite radio.
- Satellite Radio Tuner: This helps to pass along the signals received to the receiver while passing through the antenna.
- Satellite Radio Receiver: This is the screen that shows the information of which channel is being played with controls that are used to switch to different channels and find out information on what is being played and so on. These things come in built-in with the component stereo system with satellite radio tuner.
- Service Provider: Once you have these above mentioned things installed in your car then all you have to do it to get subscribed with one of the satellite radio service provider which are either XM or SIRIUS. Once you become a paid subscriber of one of these services then you can enjoy non-stop radio entertainment on your car’s stereo system.

The Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation systems are a technology that has made life easier. The hassle of taking several maps just to reach a destination anywhere in the world is now solved by this system. The cars being made in the past couple of years are available with built in navigation systems but they can be installed separately if considered necessary by you. They come in four basic types which can be searched online for accurate specifications and costs. You can either choose from any one of these navigation systems or personalize your own according to your provisions. But before you jump to conclusion, go ahead and purchase a navigation system for your car, some shop searching and online browsing is a good idea. There are some things to think about before you spend your money on one.
The first thing to consider before you choose a navigation system is as per how frequently you will use that GPS navigation system in your car. Is it even worth buying or will it be an additional cost in your budget. People who travel a lot in cars from one state to another or like picnics at various locations, the GPS navigation system are ideal for them. But the question still remains as to which one to choose? The answer lies in your own requirements and your convenience. The price range also varies but expensive systems does not necessarily mean user friendly as well.
